Parkview Middle School Reviews

I've taken time to visit/observe my son & his teachers in the classrooms, and students in the halls. From what I saw. I'm certain the education quality can & must be raised. The tolerance level for staff must be lowered. Re-examine the curriculum, very ineffective we must return to the core for 6th & 7th graders, english, math, social studies, science, an art, language and IT added by 8th grade. This sets an unwavering foundation for future subjects. These are the main courses government tested, give it all you've got, challenge our kids they deserve it.

Overall, I would have to say I have had very positive experiences with both of my kids who have attended Parkview. However, I do have to question some people's judgement when the HomeEc Dept. sent home the real-life babies during ISTEP week. ISTEP week was not a good choice for a time to assign this project when they had been stressing that the kids get plenty of rest so they could do their best, now, was it?

Okay, you go in the front door and can walk right past the office without anyone questioning you. Half the time you have to announce yourself to the office staff because they are too busy talking about what they're going to eat for lunch. The kids are allowed to sign themselves in and out. They are not monitored thoroughly enough in my opinion. Teachers allow way too much to go on without consequencing the students. The students are calling people during class without permission and the teachers do not do anything about it. Overall, I have not been impressed with Parkview. They have some major kinks that need to be worked out.

Both of my sons have attended Parkview. The administration is great, very knowledgable and genuinely concerned about the kids. The music department is top notch...Congratulations Mr. Akers!

My daughter is in her third year at this school and loves it. She has just about hated all other schools her entire life but loves this one. Over the summer she says that she cant wait to go back! Her grades have improved also.

I am a student at Parkview middle school and next year will be my third year there. While i have attended Parkview, I have had no problems with the school and/or the teachers or other students enrolled there. I dont think most people that look at Parkview think it is a good school because they have heard it is a rough school but if you went to school there or has a child that goes to school there you would see that it really isn't.

I think that Parkview Middle isn't very good. The teachers do not care about us, and they are mean. Parkview isn't a good school. When I'm a father, my kid aint goin here.

My son will be going to Parkview. The help I got from the office staff about information about the school was great to me and my son they really answered are questions. It seems like they do care about the education of the children.
